How To Make Article Writing a
Breeze
Article writing can be a
drag if you don’t know the success strategies to delivering
mass numbers of literary gems. The truth is, at times, even
some professional writers cringe at the thought of churning
out articles.
Now with the increasing demand due to Internet marketing,
writers must be able to regularly supply large numbers of
articles with good content.
What
sets the good writers apart from those who struggle with
article marketing? The million-dollar answer is: preparation!
Being prepared makes your job easier and faster. It guards you
from experiencing the dreaded writer’s block, insulates you
from thought wandering and protects you from the well-known
writer’s disorientation.
Creating an outline for all your articles will get you ready to
breeze through the writing process. In this session, I will
provide you with some precious tips and vital guidelines on
creating outlines for your articles.
»
Start
With a Brainstorm Session
This helps to get your creative juices flowing. Designate a
time frame in which you can jot down all the ideas you’ll
possibly use for your article. Your brainstorming sessions
should include: researching your subject matter, fact
gathering, jotting down thoughts, concepts and ideas and
determining ways and means to attract your readers.
This is
also the point where you record sentences and catch phrases
that you feel will add value to your article. This could be
some of the focal points that help make your article creative,
interesting and appealing to your readers. Before you start
writing your actual article, review and reread your thoughts
and notes. This will help you gain subject mastery and
sufficient familiarity with your topic so that assimilating
things will be easy.
» Create an Article
Outline An outline acts as a
blueprint and a roadmap. It will guide you in creating the
introduction, body, highpoints and conclusion of your article.
By this time you should have performed your research and
information gathering. A carefully prepared and fully planned
project will guarantee and ensure a problem and worry free
writing environment. The time spent outlining your articles
will prove to be absolutely invaluable.
» Write Your First
Draft Your
first draft or your rough draft as is it is also called is your
initial attempt at crafting a literary jewel. The key point to
remember is that it is not your final call. I like to think of
my first draft as pre-season football. This is where you see
everything you have to work with and began the process of
filtering out the parts that won’t flow with your
article.
Read and
reread what you have written down so far. Always refer to your
outline so that you won’t drift away from your key points. It’s
not hard to be caught in the moment and get lost in a writing
frenzy. Your outline will help you keep on track. Trust and
rely on your outline because this is a critical tool for
writing a mass number of articles.
»
Write
Your Intro Your intro is like
going on a first date. Here is where your readers are going to
decide if they should go on a second, third or forth date with
you.
That being said, in your intro you need to do one or more of
these things: entice, charm, seduce, fascinate, captivate,
tantalize, persuade, allure, provoke, incite or influence your
readers to proceed with this reader-writer
relationship.
Some keys to doing so, is to make a promise to deliver
something, then give them that and more. Or, identify a problem
you know they are having and show them how you are going to
solve it; they’ll love you forever!
»
Designate Your Sub
Topic and Sub
Titles
This is where you decide what will be sub topics and/or bullet
points. These are the frames or skeleton of your article. For
instance, in this article, I have approximately seven sub
topics, starting with, “Start With a Brainstorm
Session”
Notice also that all sub topics are emphasized in bold.
This helps to break your article down in bit size pieces and
gives your readers easy points of reference. Finally, your sub
topics make the flow of your article go silky
smooth.
»
Connect
Your Paragraphs and Sub Topics
This
is called forming the body of
your articleoradding the flesh or meat
to the bones. The key point here is to keep your paragraphs
moving with the overall flow of your article. Each sub topic
should be treated like a building block. Every time you add one
you get closer to completing your project. Your articles should
be structured as a crescendo rising to the climactic resource
box.
»
Write
Your Conclusion/Close
This is where you wrap things up. Your conclusion or close will
vary depending on the style and layout of the article, your
readers and of course the topic. It could be a brief conclusion
comprised of a short sentence, a few sentences or even a
paragraph or two.
The key ingredient to a conclusion is to leave your readers
wanting more of your writing. They should be inspired to add
your articles to their favorites and e-mail your articles to
their peers, family, friends and associates. With a meaty body
and a vibrant conclusion, they’ll do just that!
» Add Your Resource
Box Your resource box is
not just an optional final touch, so don’t make the mistake of
taking this vital part of your article lightly. This is the
tool you use to persuade and invite readers to visit your
website. Without a resource box, your readers could falsely
assume that Armani Travolta wrote your article.
Who is Armani Travolta? The person who is getting credit for
your hard work. Get the point? I covered the layout of the
resource box in my article entitled: Do
You Know This Secret To Writing Great Articles?
There you have it! I’ve
given you all the necessary ingredients to making writing
articles a breeze. Employ these strategies and you’ll be
well on your way to becoming a bona fide and financially
prosperous article marketer.
